An expensive car stolen from British capital London was found in a house in Defense Phase 2 area of Karachi

The value of the stolen car in the international market is more than five and a half lakh dollars, which is more than 12 crore rupees in Pakistani rupees. How the stolen car from London reached Pakistan is a mystery in its own right, but surprisingly, the vehicle brought to Pakistan without documents was registered by the Sindh Excise and Motor Vehicle Department and issued a local registration number plate, making the Sindh Excise and Motor Vehicle Registration System more efficient. But there is also a question mark.

The illegal import of luxury cars to Pakistan caused a loss of Rs 30 crore 74 lakh 27 thousand to the national exchequer in terms of customs duty and taxes. The presence of the stolen car from London was reported to Pakistan Customs by the British intelligence agency through the relevant department, on which a raid was conducted on the bungalow located in Defense, from where the expensive and luxury Bentley Mulsanne car was recovered and the bungalow The owner Jameel Shafi failed to submit the documents related to the ownership and import of the car, on which the customs authorities arrested the owner of the bungalow, Jameel Shafi and the broker Naveed Balwani, who sold the vehicle, and registered a case.

Teams have been formed to arrest Naveed Yameen, the car seller, on the information of Naveed Balwani, the broker who settled the car sale deal. Naveed Yameen is said to be associated with an international car smuggling ring.

Customs Enforcement Anti-Smuggling Officers conducted a raid in Defense Phase 2 area of Karachi on a tip-off and recovered a valuable vehicle, the owner of the house has been identified as Jameel Shafi.

When the documents of the vehicle were asked from the accused, he said that the vehicle was given to him by a person named Naveed Balwani, while all the documents of the vehicle were assured to be provided by the month of November.

Naveed Balwani was also summoned by the customs officials, but Naveed Balwani could not give a satisfactory answer, and the number plate on the vehicle also turned out to be fake, and no record was found in the excise.

Customs officials have arrested Jameel Shafi and Naveed Balwani, while investigation has also been started against Naveed Yameen and two unknown persons, the recovered vehicle has been taken into custody and transferred to the customs warehouse.

According to Customs officials, the vehicle recovered from the Defense House was stolen from London and brought to Pakistan on forged documents from the embassy of a European country.

In another operation, customs officials raided a residential building in Clifton and seized a non-customs padcar worth crores of rupees.

The vehicle could not move from its place as it was locked, which was moved to the Customs office with the help of a lifter.

Sources say that several cases of smuggling and other irregularities have already been registered against the fugitive smuggler in the Collectorates of Customs Department, Hyderabad and Karachi. Customs officials say that the vehicle has also been registered in Sindh Excise Department through forgery and the registration number of this stolen vehicle is BRS-279. According to the FIR registered by the Customs Enforcement Collectorate, taxes worth Rs 30 crore 74 lakh 27 thousand have been evaded through vehicle smuggling.

Customs sources said that registration of expensive vehicle requires sales permission from Ministry of External Affairs, NOC from Pakistan Customs and receipt of payment of duty and taxes. Surprisingly, Sindh Excise and Taxation Department has registered this stolen vehicle without fulfilling all the legal requirements, which has proved that Sindh Excise officers are also involved in illegal activities, which should be investigated. There is a possibility
